The Mirror’s Gift 

In lonely dances of hearts held tight, 

Where feelings are hidden, away from the light.  

A mirror exists, a portal unseen,  

To deeper insight, a soul’s serene scene.  

The narcissist’s distance, the empty space, 

Is not wasted time, but a change to embrace. 

An opportunity to turn your gaze within,  

And find the love that your heart can begin.  

To love a heart that cannot give,  

Is a lesson in making self-love live.  

It forces us to search deep inside,  

For the source that can never be denied.  

Each connection, even those causing pain, 

Is a chance to grow, to bloom again,  

To learn that love’s true and lasting start, 

Is rooted deeply within your own heart.  

So thank the closed heart for its part it played,  

For showing the path to your soul’s own parade.  

For mirroring the potential you hold so clear, 

To love yourself more than you ever could fear.  

In the pain, a deeper wisdom resides,  

A knowing of riches your spirit provides.  

And though the journey is hard and long, 

It leads to the self-love's song.
